Carlos Lee hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Tombstone Huckleberries defeated
the floundering Streator Reds by the score of 4 to 2 at the ballpark.
The Tombstone fans enjoyed the offense provided by Lee. He doubled resulting
in a run in the 1st inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs
(his 11th of the season) in the 5th inning. Streator threatened in the 9th
but Tombstone was able to put down the rally.
Derek Lowe(14-7) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Jose Valverde
recorded the save, his 15th. Francisco Liriano(1-4) suffered the loss. By
giving up 4 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings his ERA increased from 5.14 to 5.57.
